Considering that they had to "cut out" Saruman's part, and he would only have had two parts: Orthanc, and the Scourung. Since it's rather obvious that they Scouring wasn't in, and won't be in the EE, that leaves just the confrontation. And it will make a lot more sense when Pippen finds the palantir after Wormtongue has thrown it down there. \|·Þ
