Assuming the article is right about the amount:
That would be 65 Metric Tonnes of gold. 1 metric tonne is 1000 kilograms, making that 65000 Kilos of gold. In imperial tons that is 71.65. It is a lot, but then again, it is the money of one nation, not of one guy, even if he controlled it.
According to http://www.gold.org/pr_archive/html/bars/Types.htm then Europe 1 bar is 500g (0.5Kg) which makes 130 000 bars.
BTW If you want the French for "65 bars of gold", then its "65 barrettes d'or".
