Spoilers ahead! In at least the movie, and most probably the book also, all four hobbits are together near the end at the top of Minas Tirith with everyone bowing to them. What I want to know is: what did Merry and Pippin do to deserve that status? IMHO, the two of them combined did less than any other single member of the Fellowship!
