My boxen are all named	by alter3d	2003-12-19 22:40:43
after Greek or Roman figures of mythology, and their name usually suits their purpose somehow. My machines are as follows: ulysses: NAPT/firewall machine for my parent's house, also currently serving as timmins1.irc.mware.ca and as my backup mail server. Also serves DHCP/DNS to the machines behind it. atreides: NAPT/firewall machine for my house in Ottawa, also my web server and main mail server. Serves DHCP and DNS too. Has both cable and DSL connections and is running multi-path SNAT. Sweet... eris: Mainly a testbed machine, has a bunch of stuff running on it that's not currently vital to my network. Or would be running, if it hadn't blown a power supply a few weeks ago. curses proprietary Compaq power supply hermes: File server. Software RAID is good. hyperion: My laptop. minerva: My desktop and gaming machine. apollo: My parents and sister's desktop. cronos: My WiFi router. I think that's it... I seem to think I'm forgetting one, but shrug. You get the idea.
