The dinner meal by Kickstart2003-12-19 18:33:34
what I eat at dinner by Celticess 2003-12-19 19:34:49
meat in some form or other protien(tofu), 2-3 side vegetables(green beans, carrots, broccoli, etc but not potatoes), and sometimes some wild or parboiled rice cooked in broth. Then if I actually have dessert it is whip cream, splenda sweetened, mixed with blueberries or strawberries. :)

I try to follow the basic food groups for doing meals. However yes alot of people fill up on grains. Some grains aren't healthy for people of certain ethnic backgrounds(specific intolerances to some grains which means they don't process it right, may feel a little off afterwards, may have other issues like celiac disease, etc). Also the odd person has certain issues with specific vegies. Tho potatoes are the most common veggie eaten some people shouldn't eat them. I love potatoes and it's one of my fav veggies but I've also been abstaining from eating them on my diet. It also seems I react very fast ketones wise to potatoes vs whole grain breads. It was drastic enough of a diffrence that I wont eat potatoes(other than xmass dinner) til I'm done my diet.(one tater tot threw me right off... 4 slices of whole grain bread only changed my keytones by one level)

I'm on nearly a normal diet now tho it is more protien than anything. It however does avoid some breads(bleached/processed flour based ones for example... but kemet/smelt, etc type ones seem ok as does rye), sugars(well I do use splenda), and potatoes.(tho I can't have banana's either as their fructose content is quite high)
