An example of a joke that isn't funny by SnappingTurtle 2003-12-19 11:03:10
I'm talking to Ray, one of our volunteers. Ray is retired after working for a railroad for 35 years. Ray was in management. That meant that any issues the union had, Ray had to deal with. I.e., Ray was one of the guys the union considered an adversary.

So Ray and I are looking at the toys the mission has for Christmas, and we're looking at some of the model railroading stuff. I ask if he ever builds model railroads with his grandkids, and he says he does sometimes.

So I start suggesting that as part of the model railroad he could build little police barriers and picket lines, and he could have little Pinkertons busting up the strike.

He didn't think it was funny. Go figure.
