Now that we've both climbed out of the clock-tower as it were... I think that he problem is similar to any subgroup that gets blamed stereotypically. It's because the offenders are so visibly part of the group, and the behavior is not of a norm for any other group that the whole group gets labelled. I still can't agree on your right to smoke wherever you want, but Ican agree that you should have a sheltered place to smoke. Actually, I don't know now that you were advocating the right to smoke anywhere. I agree that the us vs them mentality is causing more harm than good. My issue is that anywhere I go, there's usually a policy of no smoking within 15 feet of an entrance. yet I see butts on the ground and often walk through the haze of smokers concentrated within the "clean zone"
