My 6-year-old son knows that meat comes from animals. He also knows that mommy & daddy both kill animals (we've both hunted instead of always just popping down to the grocery store). He thinks hunting is cool. In fact, he's trying to convince me that he's old enough to go along. 'Course, being six, he's a little unclear about what kind of meat comes from which animal -- he told me just last month that pork chops come from deer. I suppose the PETA folk would accuse me of warping his mind.
