One thing is true in this conflict. We all want our forces home safe as soon as is reasonable. We all want to see that their lives are never wasted in an ignoble cause and that their sacrifice for us is honored. Those who protest this war do it out of respect for the armed forces - a desire to see their lives valued and their sacrifice called for only in a justified war. We can argue and argue about wether or not we think this conflict is just. We can talk about whether or not our leaders have lied to us, and we can question their motives. This is done in service of our men and women of the armed services - the debate helps keep our leaders honest - they have to justify each loss to us, the people. This is how We the People support our troops - make sure our leaders think before engaging the lives of these noble men and women. Hopefully in this light you can understand that those who protest this war do not negate the value of the sacrifice of your friends or my friends - they ensure it. It's democracy in action. It's what we are responsible for guarneteeing they fighting to save. and it is beautiful.
