guess all the American Ukrainians are on the east coast (or at least, that's where they have a lobby). Pity though, only would have needed 48 hours extension (since Christmas Eve is on the 6th in the Julian Calendar and you only celebrate the Eve). I hope this ban won't preclude lights for Chinese New Years though (unless that's earlier than I think it usually is). And I wonder where those god-awful coloured patio light / lantern things fit in ...
