Suckage: is it objective or subjective? by NOLAWitch2006-11-19 12:55:59

Just saying "Windows sucks" by itself is no by NOLAWitch2003-12-19 06:30:16
Subjective (found definition) by scissors 2003-12-19 06:49:51
of "suck - verb" : Vulgar Slang. To be disgustingly disagreeable or offensive.
So by this definition the answer to above question is SUBJECTIVE. How can anything be OBJECTIVELY DISGUSTING ? That would be "disgusting for EVERYONE"

If a musician (the first example) were supposed to "suck objectively", how can (s)he go on performing at the same time feeling "disgustingly disagreeable or offensive" ? That would require a second personality who is "out of touch with reality" by not feeling the suckage.

As for my windows example: IF it really sucks "objectively", the money it earns for its makers may even be not enough compensation for the "disgust". But then: does it really suck? Or does it only have "a few unexpected glitches" ?
