Why does MS come into this at all? If you read your Windows licence agreement, you'll notice the paragraph about where you can't use Windows - "manufacturing, medicine, nuclear power generation, and any other situation where loss of life could result from [a software failure]" (forget the exact wording). Unless there's a different kernel they sell for safety-critical systems (GNU/Win32?), MS should be nowhere near a missile defence system.

Of course IANAL, and anyways they may have reworded the EULA since I last looked at it. EULA$ and all that...
