          quik question by TheRaven2003-12-19 02:44:57
what I just listed above by Celticess 2003-12-19 02:49:11
now in the kernel -> sound -> enable sound cards -> OSS (is now turned on) so is the CMI which it does list tho it's not the 8330 it is a later model. I'm figuring the alsa is looking for something in the kernel but I don't know what. Normally I use soundblaster cards and they are listed in the kernel. This is onboard sound on my sons mother board and it didn't want to use nforce-audio(nvaudio) tho it is using nforce-net(nvnet). Gentoo autodetect(gentoo livecd) and knoppix cd both pick up what sound driver should be used. I'm just not sure where to turn it on in the kernel I'm making.
