If they don't work, they should've RMA'd them, so long as you didn't do anything to void the warrenty, the cause of failure should be immaterial. I suspect you're just trying to bait me here.

Also - the bearing technology changes over time, you think the exact same problem plagues the units today?
Nevermind theat their 'lower cost drives' generally aren't built for 24*7*52 operation... using a desktop class drive in an enterprise role is just stupid. No wonder you have so many failures.
