Why is a carry-out Lg 1 topping pizza $5.99 and the same thing delivered $8.99? If they were the same price then heck yeah I'd tip the guy for bringing it to me! That $3 dollars is the delivery sur-charge. Or, my personal favorite, Pizza Hut charges $2 for delivery, of which I understand the driver gets the fat goose egg, and they also give a discount on carry-out...the ole' double get bent!

The whole assumption of 'guarenteed' tip for performing certain service type jobs is just silly. You'll assume yourself into the poor house and/or the nut house everytime you get 'stiffed' for a tip you assume you deserve. This from a bartender! Tips were definately nice to receive. I went out of my way to earn most of them!

It is very unfortunate, however, that most states still sanction paying service industry people less on an assumption...
