they might have decided they didn't want children, but unless they specifically agreed that if she got pregnant, he had no responsibility, then he is just as responsible. He contributed half of the DNA for the child, and he had sex with the woman. Since he contributed to half of the problem, it is his responsibility to either take care of his half, or find someone else that will. just because he didn't want it, doesn't mean he doesn't have to pay the price.
