Now the place where you and I disagree, as I outlined elsewhere, is that in my opinion two consenting adults shouldn't be hopping in bed together unless they're willing to deal with a child in some way other than a "preferential" abortion, as I don't consider them ethically valid.
So for me, though I wasn't the one to say it and would have said it differently, as such: consenting to sex ethically requires consenting to the possibility that a child may result. As I've stated, sex is a commodity, not a necessity, and if the biological repercussions don't appeal to you, simply don't do it. "Casual" abortion should not be [and thankfully, from what I'm told, almost never is] a guilt-free answer.
But we can agree to disagree, so long as everybody agrees to keep talking. ;) |
