...of them. And the chocolate bars, which NET 1 to 2 grams of carbs, can carry 15 to 25 grams of sugar alcohol, which is supposed to metabolize like alcohol, but which has always seemed to affect my weight negatively. But that's just me.

I tried to find some truly low-carb special food (as in zero carbs), that I could safely eat in abundance, but it's not there. And most of the stuff I DID find didn't taste very good.

On a completely different sideline, I had been planning on giving an update on my own progress today, so I'll do it here.

As of today, I've lost 45.5 lbs and am within 10 lbs of my final goal. I spent most of that time on a kind of modified Induction, where I was eating more than 20g of carbs a day, but was still losing about 3 lbs. a week. I have only three pairs of slacks that actually fit me now, and as soon as I make it through my polos (I dress business casual at work, so I have quite a few), I'll probably have to box up most of them, too.

Since I've hit my within-10-mile-marker, I'm moving slowly onto the next phase. My goal is to slowly incorporate foods (as perscribed by the book) back into my diet until I reach a point where it's making me gain weight. Hopefully, I'll take two to three months to ease through the last 10 lbs. and be at my final goal. I'll let you know how this part works.
