but I wouldn't describe UK service as "bad". It does what it says on the tin. Er, job description. They serve you food, and they give you a nice customer service smile. "Bad" service would be if they were particularly slow, or impolite (or - and I really hope that this ISN'T the case if you don't tip in the US - unhygenic).

And eating there costs exactly what it says on the menu, because we have this crazy idea over here that hiding costs from the customer is a Bad Thing.
