Sorry for the delay, I was at lunch.

True, the consequences of your choices that would have been yours are taken on by someone else, the insurance company in the case of the car, the fetus in the case of abortion.

I am personally willing to defer the consequences of my driving actions to the insurance company as I have been paying them for years to do just that, I would not however be willing to have a fetus take on any consequences of my choices relating to sexual activity as said fetus has not been "compensated" in any way by me previous to my "accident", nor would be able to after.
