the problem we're having is that I'm talking from a purely ethical point of view, and in my opinion "preference" is not an ethically justifiable reason for an abortion. (As I've said elsewhere, there are justifiable reasons, that just isn't on the list.)
Given that (and barring other complications that would justify an abortion), and therefore assuming that the child is born, absolutely the father should have equal say it how it will be cared for (parenting, adoption, what have you).
