But in what sense are they original creators of "life"? If we're talking about "divine spark", God created it, they just passed it on. Or God gave it to the fetus. But they didn't make the spark. To extend your extension of Bush's argument, the parents' right to terminate the fetus wouldn't end at birth. So the next time your teenager mouths off, you could legitimately practice a little "inhumation". For that matter, very few of us would survive the Terrible Twos...
