I know, I didn't state it well, but if you read it again and take my word for it, you should see it. I was responding to the errr... abstinance only option... as well as Illiad's original question.

to put it more clearly:
Financial responsibility: both
Involvement: ethically: both, realistically: personal choice (If you don't want to be a parent, you're probably nort going to be a good parent unless you change your attitude)
