so I can kind of understand that where you are also depending on your minimum wage. In canada start wage in bc is as low as 6-8$/hr and full time(or after 6 months employment) is $10/hr. In the US I think some states don't have minimum wage or it is far less than what canadians get.(I was told this by family down in Wa state before years ago) So what we tip up here is sometimes frowned on as cheap down their due to the wage diffrences and monitary diffrences if we tip in canadian funds.<shrug>
