arrgghhh conflicted... by plblark 2003-11-06 09:57:44
I am conflicted on this one. true, she gave him no input on the keeping of the child. True they were both equally responsible for the creation. True, I believe abortion as a contraceptive is the worst case of cowardice I can think of ... but they _did_ take all the precautions they could...

it seems that this hypopthetical really is forked:
abortion decision rights: no one should be forced to get an abortion, thus my opinion is generally that it comes down to:

Parental involvement rights
Financial responsibility

the first one is an individual decision. the second... well, she couldn't have gotten pregnant alone...

what'd throw a bigger wrench into this is if they had discussed abortion as an alternative and agreed... but that'd really set oof my abortion buttons.

Good dilema Illiad.
