I never said/implied anything of the sort "how is it that you expect two healthy young people married to each other to live in the same house, sleep in the same bed and hold out for five or six years?"
I do not expect this, nor is it a reasonable expectation whatsoever, I was stating that if you choose to have sex, even protected sex, then you take what risk comes with that. I chose to have sex with my wife (and still do by the way) and in that same action chose (and still choose) to risk the .1% chance of her getting pregnant. As far as I know there is no 100% prevention technique besides abstinence, so there will always be a risk.
If avoiding that risk is of higher importance to you than having sex, that is a decision you have to make. |
