AS long as it's not on all day every day it shouldn't be a problem. If it gets aired out reasonably it'll be fine. Other than that, you're supposed to replace the helmet every 2-3 years because the UV light attacks the plastics or some such. So it's not like it's going to be stinking 10 years from now.
