The sixth commandment says, "Thou shalt not MURDER." Regardless of what everyone tells you, it is not "Thou shalt not KILL." The difference? In other places in the Bible it mentions that certain killings are not murder and thus not subject to the sixth commandment. Self defense, war, and capital punishment are all cited in the Bible as not being considered murder in the eyes of God.
