Question: by Egaeus2003-11-06 04:52:16
If you don't HAVE to, then don't. XP looks to me by NOLAWitch 2003-11-06 05:50:43
like a throbbing hemorrhoid. It's being rolled out here at work and it's caused nothing but problems. I swear, within one hour of XP being installed on two machines in my department, I was hearing cries of "help!" across the cubicle walls toward me. Of course, they're not geeks and new stuff tends to flip them out anyway.

Your old drivers may or may not work with XP. XP has a limited number of drivers to support current technology and virtually none to support anything considered "old". That's not good for those of us using stuff that still works fine and dandy. It's stupid to jettison perfectly decent equipment in an upgrading frenzy for no reason other than to feed an industry's greed.
