I can't stand that this man is our President.
I hope this means you are planning on getting out of the house and voting in November 2004?
I wonder if some attourney who has specialized in constitutional law would like to challenge this law on the 9th and 10th ammendment. (9th says that the authors of the constitution knew they couldn't list every right that they thought people should have, and so even if a right isn't listed in the constitution doesn't mean that the government has any authority to violate that right. It had been used to justify the right to privacy - which is not mentioned anywhere in the constitution. And it might apply that people have the right to chose what they can and cannot do with their physical bodies. The 10th states that whatever powers not specifically granted to the federal government by the constitution automatically fall into the realm of the state governments. Read it carefully, the contitution mentions nothing about giving power to the federal government to make law concerning pregnancy, abortion, or surgical procedures while someone is pregnant. This should be a law that is created by the states that want these kinds of draconian restrictions on their women. And allow those of us who are more liberal in our thought to live in a state that gives women the choice to do what they want with their bodies.)
