(and I hate dichotomies, so feel free to challenge). I think your comments make you anti-choice. You do not want women to make their own decisions, you want to tell them when they can and cannot make the decision. That's a problem. That's you deciding for them and not them deciding for themselves. I have encountered this with many different issues and I'm not sure how to resolve the conflict. After all, it would be nice to have some standard morals but ... can you claim to be pro-choice/self-determination (for any topic, not just abortion) when it's convenient and against choice/self-determination when it isn't? Hmm ... On a completely different thread, I also found it EXTREMELY interesting that in that photo with the flags all in a row (as pointed out in the article), there were only old white men. That image says something to me about the people who just made this decision. They are democratically elected (more or less) but are they truely representative? It's also interesting that there were no photos of the women's org. Journalism is funny ... I think I will have to look into the history and use of photography more.
