I quote a site I can't link to by Kickstart2003-11-03 16:32:28
Kickstart, I like you and all but... by texteditor 2003-11-03 20:59:27
quoting this guy is not good.

Anyone who distills those moments into a "sacred catch phrase" should be dragged out into the street and shot. The phrase is not even something original. I forget who on this board said it first, but that phrase has been used hundreds of times before it was used on that plane. To me it just means that this guy and everyone else on that plane were going to do what they had to do.

The problem with 9/11 is that it had too many heros. Too many people had to step forward and place themselves between us and the nightmare. Many of them we will never know about. If this jerk wants to go worship someone he can go worship a basketball player. For me my heart goes out to those both know and unknown and to the people they left behind. I'm sure these people do not want to become just another damn statue in a park somewhere. Roosevelt said it best when he spoke after the destruction of Pearl Harbor, "This is a day that will live in infamy." We should honor their memory by reminding ourselves, our children, and grandchildren of the sacrifies that were made and the moment the US as a whole step forward to help those we never knew. To me "never forget" is not a slogan, but a way of thinking.
