If I can find it, I post a pic of the tarantula we caught at the house last year about this time (I brought it to work for Halloween) - it's migration time, so we see quite a few where I live... I have a house full of "huntsman" crab and wolf spiders - pretty cool - the kids don't even bat an eye enymore - if it's in a bad spost, the get the "bugcatcher" and take 'um outside! uhm... I second the nematode thing KS mentioned... but the creepiest thing I had happen recently was the centipede (about 4 or 5" long) that I found in the swamp cooler - thought he was dead, so I got out the digital and was taking pics... then he moved on me. I know they are harmless, but I have a visceral "jeeze these things CREEP me out reaction anyway.
