I use(d) two helmets, the 1/2 for long, slow rides particularly in the summer time, the full for more agressive (mainly dirtbike) riding and when the weather was less than teperate. There really isn't too much of an advantage of the 1/2 over the full as far as temperature goes, most of the heat stays in the helmet anyway. The main reason why i like the 1/2 over the full is simply a matter field of vision, and a bit of claustrophobia.
