Okay, I got a motor cycle yesterday. I was without my own transportation until then, my father in law gave it to me. I'm borrowing his 1/2 helmet for now but will need to return it.
My questions: Whats the best type of helmet for me?
I know there are three basic types.
The 1/2 helmet, the 3/4 or "bell", and the full faced. What are the advantages and disadvantages to each?
Obviously the full faced or full helmet should offer the most protection, but I have a feeling that it may be a little to hot in the summer.
The 1/2 I understand is more because the law says you have to, only it doesn't say that here but I'll pretend it does.
The 3/4 seems like a good compromise.
Any tips on wind? I'm seriously considering a full helmet just because I haven't had the best of luck keeping wind out of my eyes even with rather large sun glasses. Are there fogging problems with full helmets? That was the biggest problem I had skiing.
I guess you could say I'm looking for a new rider FAQ.
