hmmmm... want a job in Edmonton? by DaNutBall2006-11-19 12:55:59

Speaking of... http://jobsearch.monster.ca/getjob.asp?JobID=19669107&AVSDM=2003%2D10% 2D29+23%3$

Please note, I am not writing regarding this posting as a potential candidate.

While I don't mean to deride your organization or your client, as someone working and managing in the IT industry for 10+ years, what you are seeking here is an utter impossibility. No one person could have reasonable experience in any percentage of the packages you are looking for, and even if they did the experience would be so minimal as to be useless.

What you or your client will likely get is someone desperate, and someone who will lie to get into the position as a temporary measure to move on to another job. You will definitely not get qualified or talented applicants.

Please, it's time for realistic job ads. I understand you need to weed out the 'junk' applicants, but this is getting to the point of ridiculousness. You would be much better served by having someone within your organization who understands the technical issues enough to determine the "what do we really want and need" qualifications.

Sincerely,

Greg Webster
