The tech support I do ofter requires equipment to be shipped back and forth accross the country. When some thing breaks a new one gets shipped out and the old one gets shipped back. (some details here)

On one type of system however data recovery must be done. They ship the computer to us, we attempt to recover the data, then we send a different (sometimes the same) computer back. I had a unique issue turn up today. See, I'm not in the depot, so I rarely see the hardware at all. Occasionally they'll pull me in to help them out, as they did with this system since they don't know how to do the data extraction, but I'm usually out of the hardware loop. The computer arrived today at the location that had the issues. Here's the text of a new ticket I just got.

"Sent back a computer with a monitor and only recieved a computer with no power cord or monitor."

Guess why I'm gritting my teeth right now?
