Back when I had mu cable modem (I still miss it *sob*) I had copies of Red Hat, Mandrake and Slackware in order to compare them. I wanted to check out SuSE but they don't have iso images available.

Fedora was a group of developers that were creating rpms of third party software for Red Hat and it looks like Red Hat has decided to let them take over the entire free distribution.
