Still bugged by telnet by trogl 2003-11-03 12:18:58
Last scenario, linux server with telnet enables behind Linksys router with ports 21-23 enabled to pass through. Telnet to 192.168.1.101 works, telnet to router (which presumably would get passed through) didn't.

Latest scenario - got mad and put an 8-port hub right after the modem and hung the router and linux box off that, so linux box would be directly exposed to internet. Linux box correctly figured out its new network name. Telnetting from the linux box to the linux box on its new address worked. Telnetting from the windoze box (inside the routers scope of influence) still fails.

Could this be something to do with TCP wrappers?
