and I don't even know why I bother, but your reliance on the old "we didn't see it with our own eyes therefore we can't KNOW if it's true or not" irritates the crap out of me this a.m.

Aside from the archeological and anthropological record (which does indeed support early man's use of all parts of his kill), it's just sheer idiocy to demand eye-witness verification for something to be taken as true. You can't see the electrons zipping down the wire, but I bet if you stuck a screwdriver into a 220 outlet you'd believe.
