I never claimed to be right...
I reread my statement, it makes no claim of right or wrong. You are making your own claims. I was merely taking the neutral ground.
Now, if I emphatically declared him to be wrong and that there was no way that they did use all of an animal because we aren't able to see it, yeah, then my response could match what you assume it matches...
Again, I offered no proof. I simply said there is no way to know for sure. Our ancient ancestors could have killed certain animals soley for their skin, after finding that the meat tasted poorly, which were then later consumed by scavenger creatures. Other animals could have been killed soley for meat, if our ancestors found the skins to be rather weak/ill-suited to the tasks they needed animal skin for. I don't know, I doubt that anyone on this planet really knows for certain. People do have a good number of strong beliefs on the subject though.
