Sorry, I know everyone hates PETA by Egaeus2006-11-19 12:55:59
That is hilarious! by nelzie 2003-11-03 07:56:43
Why would PETA waste their money like that? If they are so for animal rights and all, why is everything they do meant to be 'shocking' instead of actually productive.

If PETA really wanted to make a change, wouldn't it have been wiser on their part to donate that $3600 dollars to a Humane Society or to a Congress-critter to help push forward their agenda in Congress? Oh... That's right PETA is designed for the 'Hollywood Elite' to get their names in the spotlight while 'fighting' for something 'good' and 'productive'.

In my opinion, PETA's actions are about as 'productive' as the Earth Liberation Front's actions...

You are a PETA member and you see a person in fur... You take action by spray painting that fur coat... What does that person do now? Oh, yeah... they go out an buy another fur coat with the insurance money they get from PETA's destructive action. What happens to you? Oh, you go to jail, perhaps even prison if the coat was of a high enough value... (What's the price-tag damage amount that makes such actions a felony again?)

If you are found guilty of a felony, BAM you are no longer a full US citizen. You are a limited rights citizen, meaning that you can't vote in most States. Which I agree with, if you commit a greiveous act considered a felony, I don't think you should ever be afforded to the full rights of US citizenship.

The 'ELF' people do the same kind of thing! Like that big Hummer dealership incident. They burned several dozen Hummers, releasing more pollutants then those vehicles would have in their normal operating life, even after being turned into scrap and recycled... Which only gave reason to build more Hummers to replace the destroyed ones...

They also lit in-progress homes on fire in my area. This only led to EVER more trees being felled and more home building materials to be manufactured to replace what they destroyed, plus they again resleased more toxins into the environment then those houses would have if they had been left in place, allowed to mature and eventually be demolished and replaced...

That's some forward, progressive thinking for you, is it not?

I don't know if any of you had the chance to see it, but I saw the most hilarious thing on National Geographic's news show...

The head National Geographic Anchor interviewed the spokesperson of the ELF. I tell you, I hadn't seen a more funny interview before. It seemed at first as though the ELF kid, because he was a kid, at first thought that the National Geographic was going to be on their side. However, the National Geographic news anchor tore into that kid with a ferocity not commonly seen in interviews.

The interviewer seemed to stop short of calling the ELF spokesperson a little beeyatch and smacking him about.

When presented with the logic of what the ELF was committing the ELF spokesperson just got this wry little smirk on his face and started spewing out emotional opinions that had little bearing on reality...

I had never seen anything quite like it. It was almost farsical if the ELF guy didn't actually belief the fantasy world stuff he was saying.

The ELF guy was basically advocating the destruction of civilization and all of the trappings we have built to survive. He was against technological progress, he was against bioscience, he was against the innovations we already have. It seemed like he feels the only answer is de-evolution of humanity to pre-bronze age existence. It's pure fantasy.
