Canabis is still not legal in the netherlands. what?? yes it's true. It's condoned (sp?) to a limit, after that you still get a fine or get arrested. But officially it's still not legal afaik. Like in the UK it is possible to get canabis on presciption. For all non-dutch ufies that do sometimes buy canabis in the netherlands, seems like time is running out. Parlement is discussing a new law, which mean only canabis for locals. You would have to show your ID (e.g. passport) to be able to buy anything in a coffeeshop. (for the unknowing, that's the dutch name for a place you can buy drugs) This to keep our direct neighbours (Germany and Belgium) happy, as now many people travel just across the border to buy canabis and then return home with the drugs
