You have to hold a mobile, at least while dialing. And then there's the habit that hands-free sets have of moving out of position when you go over a bump.

Seriously, I wouldn't be surprised if nearly as many crashes happened because the driver was trying to get their earpiece to stay put as because they were actually holding a mobile.

OK, that's probably exaggerating, but you get the idea.
