| it's not exactly bleeding-edge in terms of features, and doesn't have all that many users, but if you want to try it, go ahead. I'd also recommend MLdonkey - it's a multi-protocol client, that can access Kazaa, eDonkey, gnutella and a bunch of others. Certainly interesting from a technical point of view; the problem is that it's written in a rather exotic language, so you'd have to install the compiler for that if you want to compile it yourself, and I don't think most distributions have packages available. They do offer binary RPMs, but that won't help you much if you're on Debian, and they're also limited in the features that are included. |
