Whee! by Llyr 2003-11-01 22:42:54
So, tonight was simply magical. The story: My brother-in-law and I are Vikings fans, and we have a relative who's a Packers fan. The Vikings vs Packers game is tomorrow, so my brother in law and I enlisted two of my friends, went and bought like 130-some packets of grape Kool-Aid, emptied them into a tupperware container, and made signs like "Welcome to the Metrodome!" and "#1 Vikings Fan" and suchlike. We put dark clothes on, piled in the car, drove over to the Packer fan's house, made a nice purple V in the snow on his front yard, and stuck the signs all over. Three of us ran off to start up the getaway vehicle, and Tony stayed behind to ring the doorbell a few times. And then we drove away.

And then we went to the local Arby's, which is like a block away from the high school, and they have this "school lunch" deal where you can get a sandwich, fries, and a drink for $3 if you show student ID. So I pulled out my U of U ID card, and said "I'd like the school lunch please", and the dude's all, "It isn't lunch time." And I said, "It's lunch time somewhere." And he's all, "umm... ok... Do you want the melt or the chicken strips?" And then my brother-in-law goes up with his U of U ID from nearly 10 years ago, and the dude gave him the student lunch too. It was awesome.

And then the four of us went to my house and played shotgun Halo on Austin's X-box until like just 15 minutes ago. Whee!
