Linux on a old laptop? (or: how to do a NFS boot?) by Freakazoid 2006-11-19 12:55:59
Trying to put linux on a old laptop where the screen died (still has a vga port that I can use, tho) spex here
grabbed some of the slack install disks to see if I could get the thing to recognize the pcmcia cd drive or the net card (3com megahertz model#3ccfem556 b) but no luck there.

Looking at something farly minimilistic (like console only, the thing's not gonna run xwin as the HD is only like 500-600Meg or so) as the thing's main purpose (mebbe) is gonna be to sit around and be a print server for my printer :) but for now I just wanna get linux running...
