is years ahead. Also pointing out that the unstable branch of Debian often picks up new software releases before other things like mandrake's 'cooker' or redhat's 'rawhide'. I should also bring to light the fact that at the time of debian 3.0's release (which wasn't that long ago), the software in the distro was recent (not bleeding edge, but do you want software in your 'stable' boxen that breaks every thirty seconds) - If only it was left another month or so people wouldn't be complaining.
