UK vs US version of Coupling by taIon2003-10-22 09:36:23
Could some-one explain the passion of US tv by toxin 2003-10-22 13:06:01
and film for taking a successful program from another country and trying to do the same thing in an americanized version? If it is quality in one country, it can often be translated very effectively by a marginally intelligent audience. That is why PBS uses it's repetoire of "brit-coms" with such success.

But then again, Hollywood loves taking a reasonably successful movie and doing it all over... and over... and over. The will even do it with reasonably UN-successful movies. And horrible tv cartoon shows.
