I find myself arguing a position I wasn't really promoting. Basically I'm not for the premise that voting be tied to military service, but I do believe I understand the thought behind that type of proposal. I am more for the thought that all citizens should be required to give some time to their country in the form of service to their country and that military service would meet that criteria as would peace corps etc. Anyway, I'll bow out now as one who stepped in with a comment before he had a complete understanding of the thread... my apologies.
